Terms and Conditions of Sale

Last Updated: April 2026

These Terms and Conditions govern the sale of products and services by Sheba Gallery ("we," "us," "our") to the customer ("you"). By placing an order or requesting a service, you agree to be bound by these terms.

1. The Contract

When you place an order on our website, you will receive an acknowledgement email. This email is an acknowledgement only and does not constitute acceptance of your order. A contract between us is formed only when we dispatch your goods or confirm your private commission in writing.

2. Pricing and Payment

  • All prices are in Pounds Sterling (£).

  • We reserve the right to change prices at any time; however, the price at the time of your order will be honored.

  • Payments are processed securely via Squarespace Payments, Stripe, or PayPal. Goods will not be dispatched until payment has been cleared in full.

3. Handmade Variations and Descriptions

Every rug in our gallery is a unique work of art.

  • Natural Variations: Because our rugs are handmade, slight variations in color, weave, and size (up to 5%) are inherent characteristics of the craft and are not considered defects.

  • Digital Representation: We make every effort to display colors accurately online, but we cannot guarantee that your monitor’s display perfectly reflects the true color of the rug in your specific home lighting.

4. Delivery and Risk

  • We offer professional delivery services across the UK.

  • Transfer of Risk: Risk of loss or damage to the goods passes to you upon delivery.

  • Title of Goods: Ownership of the goods remains with Sheba Gallery until we have received payment in full.

5. Returns and Right to Cancel (Online Orders)

In accordance with the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations, you have the right to cancel an online order within 14 days of receiving your rug.

  • Notification: You must notify us of your intent to return the item within this 14-day period.

  • Condition: Rugs must be returned in their original, unused condition. We reserve the right to reduce your refund if the rug shows signs of wear or damage.

  • Return Shipping: Unless the item is faulty, you are responsible for the cost and arrangement of return shipping. Given the value of our pieces, we strongly recommend using a tracked and insured specialist courier.

6. Bespoke and Custom Orders

Under UK law, the right to cancel does not apply to items made to your unique specifications (Bespoke Rugs).

  • Once a custom commission has begun, the deposit is non-refundable.

  • Custom rugs cannot be returned or exchanged unless they are found to be structurally faulty.

7. In-Home Rug Trials

Our "In-Home Trial" service is provided at our discretion.

  • During the trial period, you are responsible for the safety and condition of the rug.

  • Any damage incurred during an in-home trial (including spills, pet damage, or heavy soiling) will result in a cleaning fee or the requirement to purchase the rug at full retail price.

8. Limitation of Liability

Sheba Gallery shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss or damage arising out of the sale of our products. Our total liability shall be limited to the purchase price of the goods in question.

9. Governing Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
